The artist formerly know as Korla Pandit appeared in 900 TV segments playing the organ or piano never uttering a word.
The story of his origins goes that he was “born in New Delhi, India to a Brahman priest and a French opera singer, who traveled from India via England, finally arriving in the United States.” A buddy of Manly Palmer Hall, he “lectured at the PRS [Philosophical Research Society***] on the universal language of music,” and he was “hailed by Paramahansa Yogananda as an embodiment of fused Eastern and Western Musical traditions” (Master of the Mysteries: The Life of Manly Palmer Hall, pg. 167).
But in truth, he was born John Roland to a preacher and his wife in St. Louis Missouri.
